Stronger connections. Better mental health.
This is the theme of this year’s Mental Health Week, which is a time dedicated to raising awareness about the resources available as well as encouraging Canadians to come together.
According to the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA), in any given year, one in five people in Canada are living with a mental illness. By age 40, about half of Canada’s population will have or have had a mental illness.
This year the CMHA has stated the week is “a call to spark small, everyday actions of connection, and to recognize the role we all play in supporting mental health through connection.”
So, if you’re on the jobsite, in the lunch trailer or even in the boardroom, strike up a conversation, check in on our co-workers and spark a connection that may truly make a difference in someone’s life.
