VICTORIA – The British Columbia Construction Association (BCCA) is ready to recognize the essential role construction plays in the province by working alongside partners to celebrate the industry, amplify the impact construction leaders are having and highlight the opportunities ahead as part of Construction and Skilled Trades Month.
From critical infrastructure to housing and health care, the sector continues to be a driving force across the province, powered by the skilled professionals who bring projects to life every day.
“The past year has presented no shortage of challenges. We have seen ongoing supply chain uncertainty, rising material costs and shifting market conditions that have placed increasing pressure on projects and the workforce,” the association notes. “Despite this, B.C.’s construction industry has continued to deliver for residents, demonstrating resilience, adaptability and a strong commitment to getting the job done.”
is also an opportunity to reinforce the need for continued investment in training and workforce development to meet the demands ahead.
As part of the celebrations, the BCCA has recognized individuals and organizations that have demonstrated extraordinary resilience, innovation and leadership, especially in the realm of safety.
