WINNIPEG — The Manitoba government has launched the 2026 summer construction season with more than $585 million in investments across 24 infrastructure projects.
The largest project is the construction of a new interchange at Provincial Trunk Highway (PTH) 100 and PTH 3 (Design Builders for Interchange Construction at PTH 100 and PTH 3 (McGillivray Boulevard)StatusPost-BidValue$5MLocationMcGillivray Blvd, Oak Bluff MBSectorPublic – State/ProvincialTypeRoads / HighwaysData as of June 25, 2026), with an investment of more than $235 million, explains a release.
Additional projects include:
- Bituminous reconstruction with new passing lanes on PTH 8 between PTH 67 and Provincial Road (PR) 231 for a total cost of $18.3 million;
- gravel road restoration of 59 kilometres on PR 227 between PTH 16 and PR 248 for $10.6 million;
- grading improvements on PR 374 from PR 373 extending 14 kilometres north, a total of $28.2 million; and
- bituminous reconstruction of 29 kilometres on PTH 75 from the U.S. border to six kilometres north of PTH 14 for a total project cost of $41.9 million.
